1. Mix 40% (cold) water with 60% powder by weight. Adjust the mixture to achieve the desired texture and consistency.
2. Mix thoroughly with a spoon, fork, or whisk for one minute to attain the desired texture.
3. The gel can be cut into pieces and added to the water as is or placed in a 'feeding ball.' Another option is to smear the gel on an object when freshly prepared and submerge the object with gel into the water.
Never feed more than the fish can consume in 30 minutes; this diet can constitute up to 50% of the animals' total diet.
