BARFmenu Fish Cat is a complete mix, so your pet gets all the necessary nutrients, and therefore does not need to be alternated. BARFmenu Fish Cat contains no fragrances, colors, flavors, and/or preservatives. BARFmenu is gluten-free (so no rice or grains). Suitable for kittens, puppies, small dog breeds, cats, and ferrets. Why can the dog and/or ferret eat the cat food? A cat is an obligate carnivore, which means: a pure meat-eater (so no rice and vegetables, etc.). Taurine must be obtained by the cat from its food, unlike the dog which produces its own taurine. Taurine is naturally present in meat, especially in the heart. To guarantee sufficient taurine, the percentage of heart in the 250g packages has been slightly increased. In addition to adding a higher percentage of heart for the taurine requirement, the meat, organs, and bones are ground more finely, so that kittens, puppies, small dog breeds, and ferrets can also eat it.

For dogs, an amount of 20-30 grams per kilogram of body weight per day can be maintained. For puppies and lactating dogs, this is slightly higher, namely 40-60 grams per kilogram of body weight per day. For cats, 30-40 grams per kilogram of body weight per day is recommended. The amount of food a animal needs depends on various factors. The body weight of the animal is used as a basis for estimating energy needs, but every animal is different. The more a dog or cat moves, the more energy it needs, and the environment can also influence this. Additionally, not all types of food have the same energy content. The guidelines below are therefore approximate. This means you should monitor how your dog or cat's condition is. The ribs should be easily felt but not visible.
