The sprat (Sprattus sprattus) is a saltwater fish and a member of the herring family. Our sprat is approximately 9 to 13 cm in size and is caught in the Northeastern Atlantic Ocean. IQF means that it is frozen separately. The sprats can therefore be thawed one by one. Sprat is very rich in omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins that are much less common in meat.
